Camera Plus Pro includes an Apple Watch companion app for supported capture workflows. This article explains how to check that the Watch app is installed and how to use it with your iPhone.
Before You Begin #
Make sure:
- Your Apple Watch is paired with your iPhone
- Camera Plus Pro is installed on your iPhone
- The Camera Plus Pro Watch app is installed
- Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled
- Your iPhone and Apple Watch are near each other
The Watch app works with the iPhone app, so your iPhone must be available for capture actions.
Install the Watch App #
If the Watch app did not install automatically:
- Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
- Scroll to the list of available apps.
- Find Camera Plus Pro.
- Tap Install.
After installation, open Camera Plus Pro on Apple Watch from the app list.
Use Apple Watch to Control Capture #
- Open Camera Plus Pro on your iPhone.
- Position your iPhone for the photo or video you want to capture.
- Open Camera Plus Pro on your Apple Watch.
- Use the Watch app controls to trigger the supported capture action.
- Wait for the iPhone app to finish capturing and saving.
Your iPhone handles the actual camera capture. The Apple Watch acts as a remote control.
If the Watch App Does Not Connect #
If the Watch app cannot communicate with your iPhone:
- Make sure your Apple Watch is unlocked.
- Keep your iPhone and Apple Watch close together.
- Confirm Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled.
- Open Camera Plus Pro on your iPhone first.
- Close and reopen the Watch app.
- Restart both devices if the issue continues.
If Capture Does Not Start from Apple Watch #
If tapping the Watch control does not start capture:
- Confirm camera permissions are enabled on iPhone.
- Make sure Camera Plus Pro is open or available on iPhone.
- Check that the iPhone is not locked on a permission prompt.
- Try capturing directly from the iPhone app.
- Reopen both the iPhone app and Watch app.
Save Destination Notes #
Photos and videos captured through the Watch app use the save destination currently selected in Camera Plus Pro on iPhone.
If captures are not where you expect, check the save destination settings in the iPhone app.
