Cross-App Data Handling Summary
Across the selected applications, the repositories show the following common patterns:
No selected repository showed advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, Firebase, Sentry, Crashlytics, RevenueCat, AdSupport, or AppTrackingTransparency usage.
Most app data is stored locally on the user’s device.
Several macOS apps rely on user-selected files, folders, drives, or security-scoped bookmarks.
Some apps export or share user-selected content through Apple system save panels, share sheets, Photos, ZIP exports, or selected folders.
CRM Pro may sync CRM data through Apple CloudKit when enabled and entitled.
Receipt Scanner Pro uses Black Cat Design API services for account, billing, parsing, embedding, and AI-assisted receipt workflows.
Camera Plus Pro and Receipt Scanner Pro use StoreKit for paid features or subscriptions.
Information We Collect or Access
The covered applications may collect, access, or process information only as needed to provide their features. Based on the reviewed repositories, this may include:
- Information you create, import, scan, record, edit, or organize inside an app.
- Files, folders, images, videos, screenshots, receipts, music metadata, CRM records, backup task settings, scan results, and similar user-selected content.
- App preferences, settings, recent items, library metadata, thumbnails, indexes, local catalogs, and feature state stored on your device.
- Camera, microphone, photo library, music library, Contacts, Calendar, Reminders, location, local network, screen/window capture, system audio capture, or Apple Events access where requested by an app and approved by you.
- Account, authentication, billing, subscription, and receipt-processing data for Receipt Scanner Pro where Sign in with Apple, StoreKit subscriptions, and Black Cat Design API services are used.
- Apple App Store transaction information needed to validate in-app purchases or subscriptions where StoreKit is used.
Information We Do Not Collect
Except where an app-specific note says otherwise, the reviewed repositories did not show advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, tracking SDKs, Firebase, Sentry, Crashlytics, RevenueCat, AdSupport, or AppTrackingTransparency usage.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use covered apps to track users across other companies’ apps or websites.
Camera, Photos, Files, Media, and Device Permissions
Some covered apps request Apple system permissions so they can perform user-requested actions:
- Camera and microphone: Camera Plus Pro and Receipt Scanner Pro use camera access for capture or scanning. Camera Plus Pro uses microphone access when recording video with audio. Simple Markup Pro uses microphone access when recording screen content with voice audio.
- Photo library: Camera Plus Pro, Media Viewer Pro, Music Pro, and Receipt Scanner Pro access the photo library only for app features such as choosing media, saving media, importing media, attaching receipt images, or choosing background photos.
- Files and folders: Several macOS apps use user-selected files, folders, drives, or security-scoped bookmarks so the app can read, index, process, export, back up, or manage content you choose.
- Music library and Apple Events: Music Pro and DJ Library Pro use Apple music library access for music-related features. DJ Library Pro uses Apple Events automation to control Music for playlist/crate workflows.
- Contacts, Calendar, Reminders, and location: CRM Pro uses Contacts, Calendar, and location features for CRM and mapping workflows. Its macOS target also includes Reminders permission text.
- Local network, Bonjour, audio capture, and possible screen recording: Air Pro uses local network discovery and local mirroring/receiver features. Air Pro’s sender functionality may require Apple screen recording permission when capturing the display.
You can control these permissions in Apple system settings. Some app features may not work if required permissions are denied.
Local Storage
Most covered apps store data locally on your device. Local storage may include:
- App settings in UserDefaults.
- Core Data stores.
- SQLite catalogs and metadata.
- JSON files.
- Security-scoped bookmarks for user-selected folders.
- Generated thumbnails, indexes, scan history, backup metadata, and export records.
- User-created or user-imported files.
Local files remain under your control unless you choose to export, share, sync, back up, or upload them through an app feature.
Syncing, Uploading, and External Processing
Based on the reviewed repositories:
- CRM Pro / RealtyCRM uses Core Data with CloudKit when the app has required iCloud entitlements, with a local-only fallback. CRM data may sync through Apple iCloud/CloudKit depending on user settings and entitlement availability.
- Receipt Scanner Pro uses Black Cat Design API services at
https://api.blackcatdesign.appfor authentication, billing refresh, receipt parsing, embeddings, and AI-assisted processing. Receipt images or receipt-related content may be sent to those services when using those features. - Camera Plus Pro uses StoreKit for a lifetime purchase unlock.
- Receipt Scanner Pro uses StoreKit for subscription or in-app purchase entitlement handling and Sign in with Apple for account authentication.
- Air Pro uses local network connections for mirroring/receiver features.
Exporting and Sharing
Some covered apps allow you to export or share files, media, reports, backups, screenshots, recordings, or other content. When you export or share content, the destination is chosen by you and may be outside the app’s control. Examples include saving media to Photos, exporting files to selected folders, sharing via the system share sheet, creating ZIP files, writing backup copies, opening directions links, or sending content to another app or service.
Third-Party Services and Dependencies
The repositories reviewed show the following relevant services and dependencies for selected apps:
- Apple system frameworks and services, including App Store, StoreKit, Sign in with Apple, iCloud/CloudKit, Photos, MusicKit/MediaPlayer, Contacts, Calendar/EventKit, Core Location, AVFoundation, ScreenCaptureKit, Bonjour, and sandbox file access.
- Black Cat Design API services used by Receipt Scanner Pro.
- SwiftUI-Introspect and ZIPFoundation used by Receipt Scanner Pro.
- External map or directions links opened by CRM Pro, including Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, and OpenStreetMap.
No advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs were found in the selected app repositories during review.
Analytics and Advertising
The reviewed selected repositories did not show analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, or cross-app tracking code.
Needs confirmation: If analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or monitoring tools are later added to production builds or server infrastructure, this policy and App Store privacy answers must be updated before release.
Children’s Privacy
The covered applications are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a covered app, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
Data Retention
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, remove the app, reset app data, delete imported/exported files, or use an app feature that removes it.
For services that involve server-side processing, such as Receipt Scanner Pro’s API-backed features, data is retained only as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security, validate entitlements, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or support account and billing operations.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate for a small independent developer/business. These may include Apple platform security features, sandboxing, permission prompts, local device storage protections, encrypted transport for API calls, and access controls for service infrastructure.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your device, Apple ID, backups, exported files, and shared destinations secure.
User Choices and Controls
Depending on the app, you may be able to:
